General Description The VS Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics operations, managing operating costs, manpower requisition, inventory accuracy, and ensuring adherence to operational and safety procedures. Project Management and Training *Lead and ensure the successful development and implementation of new projects. *Train relevant employees and ensure the execution of new plans and processes. *Support and optimize technology and process implementation across distribution centers. 4. Vendor and Supplier Relations *Negotiate directly with technology suppliers for the introduction of new technology and products. *Address and resolve any issues related to technology or product supply. 5. Collaboration and Implementation *Work closely with VAS and production section leaders to introduce and implement operational changes. *Collaborate with project specialists to manage overall projects, including the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. *Partner with Quality Engineers and LEAN process specialists to incorporate quality standards and LEAN principles. 6. Performance Reporting *Provide detailed performance and management reports to customers. *Ensure services meet customer requirements and address any concerns promptly. 7. Safety and Compliance *Ensure staff understand, implement, and comply with Safety, Health, Security, and Quality policies and procedures. Specific Accountabilities Team Leadership *Recruit and train warehouse and administration staff. *Manage and approve staff leave applications, transport, and medical claims. *Take disciplinary action as required to maintain a productive and compliant workforce. Operational Efficiency *Ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to operational procedures. *Approve requisition of items necessary for warehouse operations. Team Performance Evaluation *Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members. *Set performance goals and objectives for team members. *Provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance team performance. *Implement performance improvement plans as needed to address any performance issues.
